This is a massive launch and reading!

This grassroots community-based festival will introduce the oral traditions of poetry (which include beat Jazz poetry, Dub poetry, Hip Hop Poetry, Slam Poetry and Storytellers) to a young audience as well as presenting mature works to the more sophisticated audience. Spoken Word poetry has a strong music component. This is a genre that Albertans seem to be interested in (as proven by the attendance of the first festival).
